No. All ETTO Australia products are cruelty free and not tested on animals.

As an Australian-owned company operating in Australia, we strive to produce our products locally. All of our products are proudly manufactured and packaged within Australia by local firms. The only exception is our Micro-dart Pimple Patches, which are made in South Korea, as the required technology is not yet available in Australia.

ETTO's Blue Mallee Eucalyptus farm is located in Western Australia on Wajarri Country & our Tea Tree farm is located in New South Wales on Bundjalung Country.

For all our products, the majority of our ingredients are plant derived/naturally occurring and where possible, organic. We try and always use natural preservatives, e.g. Ethylhexylglycerin is a biodegradable vegetable glycerine. Ours is plant derived (coconut) that we use as a safer alternative to paraben preservatives. Sometimes it is necessary that we use synthetic preservatives, such as potassium sorbate and phenoxyethanol, using these more effective preservatives keeps our products safe from bacteria and germs which makes the product safer for the end consumer. These ingredients are considered safe in skincare when used in concentrations of 1% or less and they have a low hazard score on the skin deep database.

Wherever possible we look for ways to use post-consumer recycled plastic, packages that are recyclable and use the minimal amount of packaging, and postage that reduces the carbon footprint. More information on how to recycle can be found on our Re-useable & Recyclable Packaging page.

Propane and Butane are not plant derived, they are organic compounds, they are used in our pure oil spray and Premedicated All Over Body Foam as propellants - to get the product out - and are considered safe to use on the skin by The Skin Deep Database and Cosmetic Ingredient Review. The propellants evaporate very quickly so contact with the skin is not significant (we are using these as a propellant, not the liquid form). The Pure Oil Spray & Premedicated All Over Body Foam come in aerosol cans which,YES, you can recycle! 80% of Australian's live in councils that collect aerosols for recycling. Our aerosols are made from aluminium which is infinitely recyclable in Australia with definitely no CFC's.
