Founder & CEO

Andrea Horwood has extensive experience in publishing, media, wellness, beauty and personal care, both internationally and her native Australia. Her early career saw her found and publish the innovative multi-award winning magazine AUSTRALIAN STYLE, which she ran successfully for over a decade in the highly competitive magazine market. Her achievements also saw her featured on the documentary series ABC’s Australian Story introduced by Kylie Minogue.

As COO, Andrea was instrumental for launching Australian cosmetic brand BECCA cosmetics into the international marketplace, before launching INVISIBLE ZINC in 2003. Using technology from the particle engineering department at the University of Western Australia, the brand became Australia’s fastest growing sunscreen brand with over 8,000 retailers, and established as the world’s leading chemical UV free sunscreen brand.

In 2013, Andrea founded and ran the global wellness business WelleCo and over the following six years pioneered the Direct To Consumer (DTC) wellness model with over 80% sales through their own website as well as building global customers through premium retailers and e-tailers including Selfridges, Net-a- Porter, David Jones, Sephora, GOOP, Harrods, Space NK.

Andrea is a former Board Member of the Art Gallery of WA, West Coast Editor of VOGUE Magazine and member of The Young President’s Organisation (YPO). She has won many industry and peer-voted awards including regional finalist in the Ernst Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Veuve Cliquot Business Woman of the Year Award Australian finalist. Her latest endeavour is ETTO Australia, launched in May 2023.

 

Our Designer

Jasper Dowding is renowned Australian glassware artist with Asprey London & Saatchi Gallery. He is the designer behind our bespoke oil bottles. Cleverly crafting them so the oil can stay stay fresh, safe and potent, while also looking beautiful.

Pure oils are best kept away from heat and light to stay fresh so our glass is shaded black to block the light. Due to their very potent nature, the bottles are required to have a child-proof lid. Jasper designed a solution without compromising the bottle's design.

Our Farms

Phillip Butlin is a Director of ETTO and the President of ATTIA (Australian Tea Tree Industry Association). Phillip has been the managing director of our Tea Tree farming operation since 2010. Phillip has overseen a period of investment and growth for our Tea Tree farm. Our Tea Tree operations now span across 7 farms and almost 5,000 acres of crop (over 60 million tea trees) in NSW.

In 2019, Phillip managed the launch of the Western Australian farming property which has already planted 385 acres of Eucalyptus trees with an additional 190 acres planted in winter 2022, totalling 2.4 million trees. During this time Phillip has been an elected member of the Australian Tea Tree Industry Association “ATTIA” board of directors and has served as its president between 2017 and 2021. Phillip is currently the Chair of the Federal Government appointed AgriFutures Tea Tree R&D Advisory Panel.
