Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) is native to Australia and has well known antibacterial and antifungal properties.

It was first used by indigenous Australians in traditional remedies and is the oil every ANZAC
soldier had in their kits.

The major bioactive component of Tea Tree Oil is Terpinen-4-ol. ETTO oil contains a high level (35 – 48%) of Terpinen-4-ol.

Eucalyptus oil is also native to Australia and has a long history of use for remedial purposes. Indigenous Australian first used it as a natural remedy.

Much research has been done in recent years that has demonstrated the widespread biological activities of eucalyptus oil and its major naturally occurring component 1,8-cineole. ETTO oil contains 84% cineole compared to the commonly used Eucalyptus globulus which only contains 20%.
