Cineole is the bioactive component in ETTO Blue Mallee Eucalyptus which we grow and steam distil on our Australian farm to guarantee purity & potency. We believe when we are inhaling or putting something on and into our body, it needs to be pure and we need to trust its origins. 90% of eucalyptus in Australia is imported and is often a by-product of the paper industry and extracted using chemicals and solvents. We grow and steam our Blue Mallee on our Western Australian farm from high grade plants intentionally grown for medicinal oil. The cineole component is therefore much higher and we don’t need to mess with the natural symbiosis of the oil, so it comes to you just as nature intended.

Use for babies
For babies, we do not recommend direct steam inhalation.
Instead, a gentler and safer option is:
Place one steam inhaler tablet on the shower floor
Let warm water run over it while you hold baby in your arms
The eucalyptus vapour gently rises through the shower space
This provides a much lower, ambient level of vapour, which can still help ease congestion without direct exposure to hot water.
